Why should I hire a personal trainer?
Working with a knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive personal trainer can be a great move for your overall health. Personal trainers are educated in the latest exercise science, and able to translate scientific data into practical programs that meet your needs as an individual. I like to think of a good personal trainer as a snazzy set of training wheels. An expert trainer won’t just give you a list of exercises to do, but will teach you about the why of exercise as well as how to perform, modify, and progress them for lifelong benefits. They’ll help you take control of your fitness, health, and life.

How does online personal training work?
Every online trainer works a bit differently. (Learn about the benefits of online training, and see if it’s right for you.) I create all of my personal training programs from scratch; no two trainees receive the same program. I design programs according to each trainee’s goals, strength and mobility, schedule, equipment availability, likes and dislikes, and other factors. I deliver programs through the Trainerize app. Once you download the app, I sync our accounts so you can view and track all of your workouts and activities in one place. Every program includes detailed workout and exercise instructions, as well as exercise how-to videos.
Depending on the training plan you chose, you’ll receive different levels of support in the form of online messaging through Trainerize and/or weekly video chats. Through such mediums, I’m able to answer questions, provide guidance, and even evaluate your exercise form to help you move as safely and effectively as possible.

Where are you located?
I’m based in Chicago and offer in-person training at three River North gym locations: Educe Institute (409 W. Huron St.), HiFi Fitness (820 N. Orleans St.), and Symmetry Chicago (230 W. Huron St.). However, with online training, I’m able to help people all over the world!

How much do your training services cost?
I offer various online and in-person training plans. Each package comes with different costs, and you can check them all out on my personal training page. (Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions once you look it over.)
That said, you’ll find that my prices aren’t ridiculously expensive, but they aren’t dirt cheap either. They reflect the fact that I value my trainee’s time and wellbeing as well as my own. (It’s about mutual respect, baby!)
I’m invested in every trainee, and never dole out cookie-cutter programs or generic advice. Doing so would definitely make my prices cheaper, but you don’t fit in a cookie cutter, and I’ll never try to squish you into one!

What personal training certifications do you have?
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I’m an active member, regularly attending as well as speaking at NSCA conferences. I have also contributed peer-reviewed research to the NSCA’s Strength and Conditioning Journal. I am insured through the NSCA and maintain current CPR/AED certification through the Red Cross.

I don’t belong to a gym. Can I still work with you?
100 percent! Fitness only happens when it fits your life! A lot of my online trainees don’t belong to a gym and I’ve crafted their workouts based on what, if any, equipment they have at home. Yes, you can make incredible fitness gains using just your body weight and absolutely no gear.
